Hi Scott, I've got both service and user manuals for this model but there is no mention of how to do a hard reset.
Try disconnecting the power for 10 mins then powering up normally and see what happens.
If that doesn't work, try holding in two or more front panel buttons for a few seconds while switching the radio on. Note: holding in just one button will disable the function of that button.
Failing that, call GME - their techs would probably know how to reset the radio.

Whilst ur on the phone to the techs, ask them if there is an upgrade available to the 77/80ch allocation that will be here in a few years!

Saves making two calls....

I know the 3420 can be upgraded, nor sure about the 3400.
