Im interested, I have read all the facts and specs. Just wondering if anyone had any hands experience with it or have heard anything.

I'm thinking of selling my UH078SX and UH075 and buying the Icom. Not decided as yet.

Have already updated my base and scanners. Just not my handhelds.

Cheers

I would definatly say that the icom would out do those unidens that you have there by a mile icoms are great built for commercial use and have great opperation, although I have no experience with that handheld.

- 13 hour operation

And many other little nice features

Research has shown a retail of about $419 - $435

Quite expensive, but around the same price as the unidens

features arn't user programmable are they.. I have done extensive research and cant find the answer. It says that the radio had 128 channel capacity, with the 40 UHF CB, 80 commercial, and the 8 repeater channels. But I dont know if its user programmable, the same for the selcall.

anyone know

cheers

i have one the tx and rx on uhf isnt that great i only get about 2 kms range out of it and the programable tx on it only goes from 455 mhz to 502mhz apart from that they arnt to bad of a radio the battery lasts for about 15 hours and are kid proof as mine has been dropped and thrown from the kids a fair bit. if you are going to get one make sure you get the programing cable as you cant do much with out it. You can change the sellcall number you can also alpha tag on the rx channels
