PRO-96 and MMR

Post by wolfie »

Hi all,

I've got an older Pro-96 which I'd like to listen to the MMR on, but when I program the bank to be trunked and set up the memories, when the scanner stops on a frequency, it displays the talkgroup OK, but the only sound is 'rushing' noise. Does this mean that I'm listening to an encrypted group? Are MAS using encrypted?

Thanks

Most AV (Metro) TGID's are unencrypted. Kind of, it's there, just not turned on at the console...

There are a couple of others used for Inter Agency Operations also.

The only frequently used AV (Metro) TGID's that were primarily encrypted were the NETCOM 1 and NETCOM 2 TGID's that are used for Patient Transfer duties, because some douche' thought it was a great idea to re-broadcast patients private details many years ago such as names, addresses, contact numbers etc.

What TGID's are you hearing the 'rushing' sound on?
