You don't.

Most scanners only support Motorola SmartNet, EDACS, and LTR (if they support Trunking at all.)
And some of the later models also support APCO P25.

If you want to decode MPT1327, you need a scanner that is PC-Controllable, and software such as TrunkView, or UniTrunker - the latter program is NOT for beginners.

Comint is right the DSE DTS-96 does not follow MPT1327 you would need a program to assist you in tracking this protocol. and im not even sure that the DTS96 can be controlled by some programs
