27Mhz CB,

Post by 878ROB »

Hey everyone, I just want to see how many of you still use 27Mhz CB radio.

I use it all the time and if anyone ever listens on 35LSB you may hear me, My call sign is 878 Romeo Oscar Bravo.

So please if you still use this band list down your call sign and type of radio you are TXing on.

Regards: 878ROB

how can you even talk on there man? UHF is just so full of BS its not funny anymore, your either a genuine user, a squeeky impersonator, someone who puts shit on barry muller or a classic button pusher lol. I gave up on it along time ago, 27mhz is great though, always some1 good to talk to on there except for the clown who keeps rebroadcasting channel 7 uhf LOL

We've got 2 channels down here (3 and 8 ) and it has its s**t moments but its normally pretty good. Channel 7 in Brisbane is just a mockery of the whole laws and regulations.

I have a SSB set in the car (resides in the boot till needed then is just plugged into an antenna line under the passenger floormat and power into the cig socket) that has a line to the box in the boot where I plug in my magnetic mount with GME5ft stainless. So when it's needed it's quickly and easily reinstalled back in the car. Haven't got a HF rig for the house atm, need to get one at some point.

I get around Brisbane and the Gold Coast a fair bit, use 31 (AM) for the wife and I.

The only other time I've heard anyone else has been on ch8 -- managed to raise them and had a radio check, but that's about all I got before we moved out of range.
