Re: Response and Misc Codes
A couple of others for interested peoole:
Charlie - Basic Care Paramedic
Delta - Student Paramedic/other
Golf - PTS vehicle
Code 1s and Code 2s are broken down into (Alpha - most serious to charlie - least serious)
eg a Code 1A is the most serious clinical case dispatched (generally an AMPDS "Echo" eg not breathing patient)
However, alpha is the least most serious case as far as the AMPDS system is confirmed (eg 26A1 - generally unwell person) that case I think would normally be a response code 2-charlie.
confusing ha ha

Re: Response and Misc Codes
Isn't a code 1A time critical, 1B emergent time critical and 1C potential time critical?
Otherwise, why would a 10D1 be a code 1B, and a 6D1 a one 1B, both are conscious with chest pain or severe shortness of breath?

Re: Response and Misc Codes
it is not set to must be uncons for 1b originally 1b we had to attach an icp code 2 no matter wat it was now its only when the CDS states to put one on we are only allowed to dispatch the icp to 1A's without cds approval

hmmm, that's quite an interesting new development. Basically the CDS has the final say, over the mpds? Q
