Vic EAS Ch1 Eltham CFA

Post by Boort8720 »

Hi All,

I have noticed the Eltham CFA Staff Circuit has had its short name changed to 'EHMC'. The volunteer circuit remains unchanged as 'EHAM'. Is this a trial in the wake of Fire Rescue Victoria or some other reason? If anyone else has a better idea that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

*UPDATE*
There appears to be a separate brigade called 'Eltham City'. Has Eltham brigade become fully volunteer and the new Eltham City fire brigade is entirely career staff such as Lucas and Latrobe West?

After a bit of reading I have found that there are in fact two fire stations in Eltham. One volunteer and one career, the same setup as Ballarat and Ballarat City. I should definitely check the news more!

The career staff have the new station and the volunteers are back at the old station.
The old station was refurbished and reopened.
Having the two stations operational gives the Eltham area better coverage.
