G'day everyone,

Bit of a quick question regarding Tait TM8200 radios. I currently own a TM8200 (VHF) with a remote graphical display head. Basically what i want to do is use both 2M and 70CM repeaters via the one control head. Now i have heard that you can 'daisy chain' two torsos together to make a cross band repeater, is this possible for the use of 2m as well as 70CM amateur repeaters? if so what programming would be required.

Cheers

Its my understanding that what you are wanting is the equivalent to the Simoco DMAP Board which allows this type of config.

For Tait it is a TM8260 im not sure if you can use an existing radio however.

Don’t believe you can configure the Tait in the way you mention. Best to simply get a dual band that is setup for the job. No config required and keeps you within the LCD requirements.

Cheers guys, I think I might just stick to the VHF tait, as UHF repeaters aren't that common
