Re: What scanner?
Are they digital or analog? If analog, what frequencies?
For digital I'd get the ubcd396xt
For analog I'd get the ubc126at

What scanner?
As covered before and many times on the forum - most of SE QLD are covered under the GWN - so no current scanner will work with the GWN for the services.
You are located in an are where most of the services that you are wanting to listen to, won't work under any current scanner today.
Try the search function to function to find out more.

Why cant you hear them with a scanner? Encryption or Frequency out of range?Phantom wrote:As covered before and many times on the forum - most of SE QLD are covered under the GWN - so no current scanner will work with the GWN for the services.

Re: What scanner?
Because they are digital. You will need a scanner capable of receiving P25, and capable of being able to track the frequencies. There are scanners that can do that, BUT, in addition to a digital transmission they are also encrypted.
