Is anyone having trouble picking up towers on handhelds ie 396xt ??

I'm having trouble receiving the GRN. The scanner tells me the signal strength is almost full but it keeps cutting in and out every second for a period of time. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Sounds like you have a "priority" set in the scanner. thats' exactly how it sounds when the receiver flicks quickly to the other channel, also does this if you have close call set in priority mode.
