Hey everyone I'm after the ses frequincys for the Central coast and I'm also after the bus companies frequencies or any interesting frequencies for the central coast please

You will find the SES on the GRN on the Central Coast. The NSW GRN Scan site has all the talkgroups.

Can't help with bus companies specifically, but the Newcastle Scan site may have some useful bus info, even though it is likely a bit far north.

The nswgrn site I gave above has a search function. That talkgroups is coming up on there as NSW Juvenile Justice transfers.

Thank you can you tell me is the sheriff and corrective services are encrypted

There are a number of encrypted users on the GRN, mainly law enforcement/legal background
I have jotted down 4 that i can identify and a 5th one that has eluded identification so far
The Sheriff is in clear mode and only certain groups within Corrective Services use encryption

The general trend in the private bus industry is to use the Orion DMR digital trunking network.
Likely to be the case on the Central Coast/Newcastle, as their parent companies have done the same in the Sydney region where i monitor from
Gencom runs that part of the network, so any frequency search will need to start from the acma database under their name.

Have you checked the scan sydney forum as there is a lot of information there?
Nswgrn.com website has a good summary but is not always correct.

As blacktown pointed out, there are definitely a number of encrypted users on the GRN. Ones I can think of include:
- NSW Police specialist sections.
- Other NSW law enforcement agencies (the 'discrete' ones).
- Transport Regulator.
- Some Corrective Services.
- Some GRN techs.
- Some rental groups.

Edit:
Add the following encrypted users (from the official GRN website):
- Dept of Premier and Cabinet.
- Attorney Generals Dept.
- ICAC.
- Department of Defence.
- ACT Government Services.

Depends how you listen. Obviously nothing will decode the audio of the encrypted transmissions, so you won't hear them. If you use a Uniden scanner the talkgroups will, from memory, generally not even display, or if it does 'ENC' is displayed in the screen (this may be why some people don't think encryption is used). Not sure about other scanners. If you monitor the GRN using a program like Unitrunker you will see all the encrypted talkgroups on the screen.

Hey is the unitrunker a scanner program or a frequency and GRN program?

Unitrunker is a computer program. It can be used with a scanner (generally a discriminator tap is required) or with a SDR dongle. It listens to the control channel of a site and displays everything that is happening, from radios logging on/off to talkgroups being used on the site.
