possible modded U.S. Uniden for Aust ?

Last week in Melb whilst at Comms Connect at Jeffs shed I got to haveing a very interesting chat to someone quiet high up the food ladder from one of the biggest communucations companies in Aust and whilst talking about the lack of scanning and or support here in Aust it was mentioned to me that this company in question is in the process right now bringing a number of the 536 and 436's over from the U.S. with the view to modding them for Aust conditions to eventually add to their already extensive and very impressive P25 lineup.

This is all I knkw I did press for more info but the person in question was right at the crucial point interrupted by a bloody potential customer and so I had to move on but not before him slipping me his business card and invuting me to call / email him later this week.
