New from Gipsland Victoria

Brand new to this medium, don't know much about radio, or scanners but always been interested, I am an emergency service employee so I guess I can use a radio however I have only ever used one on the job. I would now like to stay in touch with what's happening around the place , so I have a Uniden UH 037 UHF CB transceiver Hand held, Icom IC- R2, which is great little unit and a GMC Electraphone TX3400 in the Jeep. I need to reprogram these to this locality so will probably be asking for some assistance once I get settled in! Thanks in advance
