I was thinking to myself today how amazing it is that we can track and monitor incidents that happen sometimes. Anybody else think this sometimes?

On my way to work this morning I was listening to the emergency services i.e. Fire and Rescue and QAS attending a traffic accident at the Glasshouse Mountains with updates etc. They said one of the victims was being taken away by Rescue 500. A little bit later I could then hear Rescue 500 conversing with the staff at RBH regarding landing and requirements etc. Then I could hear the staff at the hospital conversing between each other making the arrangements.

I just think that it is pretty cool, anyway that's some of my thoughts for today :P

Very interesting indeed, hopefully we wont lose this capability when everyone goes digital.. i have a question though, was rescue 500 liaising with the RBH on normal afcom channels or on a hospital link channel? I've never heard anyone chatting on the Brisbane hospital link frequencies I have programmed in
