My shack has been made semi permanent now, so here is some info on it.
Gear:
Icom IC-718 hf transceiver, with MFJ antenna tuner. This is run off a home made "tak-tenna" which works very well.
Yaesu FT7800R with a Diamond x50 on the roof for VHF/UHF.
I made a switch box up to enable either radio to be run into the computer for digital mode reception.
Not a huge setup, but overall it cost me under $2000 (over a few years) and it does what I want.
