9/11 ATC audio & transcript

The fields in RED color are the actual audios. The term 'NORDO' is a US Air Traffic term meaning the airplane has no radio or is not responding.

It will serve to remind us all about this terrible event and how unprepared the authorities over there were against this attack. It makes me think how well we would cope with a similar event here in Australia and what systems we now have in place to deal with such an eventuality.

Been listening to them during the day. Gives those who are not in the industry or have much knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes a good insight.

It was an eery experience being in New York on 9/11... everytime you heard a plane ppl looked up... the new 9/11 Memorial Museum pools (in the footsteps of the WTC) was a sombre place to be....
