Moto GP339

Post by luxbloke »

Hi everyone,

This is my first time trying to program a GP339. I have got a USB lead to suit, Prolific drivers working etc... I have tried using a few versions of software... But:

I keep getting "Unsupported Model" error message.

Can anyone help me with this? What am I doing wrong?

Cheers

Matt,

what version are you using for the GP339 as it could be programmed with the latest software. providing you have the menu enabled you should be able to find out the CPS Version that last programmed it from your radio

Ah ha... That was easy... Thankyou Brisbanescan

SW = R03.13.00 CP = R7.01

Now the million dollar question... Can't seem to find a software version that new? Does anyone have it?

No worries Brisbanescan, Thankyou. When your comp is operational again, if you are able to supply it that would be great!

More then likely you have the wrong region version of the CPS for the GP
series you need the AZ (from memory) version.

Arch,

All you would need to do is edit the cps via winhex to remove the region lock. Have done it numerous times jut can't for the life of me remember the code. It is on the Internet though.

I have a copy of the latest CPS software "R03.11.15 AS" which should be able to program your Motorola GP339.
I'll try and upload it somewhere for you.

You can change the CPS region codeplug by editing the registry "SerializedString" to "@%&MAHUS". You have to dig around in the registry though. The exact location is somewhere on the internet - I'm not too familiar with Windows (I use Mac with a virtual Windows XP) so I don't want to mislead you - but I have done it once a long time ago and can confirm it works.

Howdy folks, anyone know where I can locate programming SW for my GP339 SW version R03.16.00 CP version R8.00. I got an older version of the SW as posted by drhhitman but it comes up with an incompatible error message - seems to be a pretty hard bit of SW to come by.... Cheers
