Motorola GP 339 vs GP380
Hi im wanting A Motorola GP radio 403-470mhz UHF, I can't find any GP339s so I was looking at a GP380 as the next best thing. I wanted the voting option hense the 339 but im not sure i understand the voting concept fully. Is it where you have maybe 4 or 5 or more fruqs (for repeaters) for one channel it automticly gose to the best signal? do you have the change manually to the best repeater for the channel the radio is on with the 380? Cheers dom

To answer your question about voting, is the message is spoken throughout a set of channels at the same time and the radios are designed to automatically pick up the strongest channel to receive/transmit on. Of course, it doesn't work 100% all the time.FTX03 wrote:Hi im wanting A Motorola GP radio 403-470mhz UHF, I can't find any GP339s so I was looking at a GP380 as the next best thing. As for a radio without voting, the best option i can think of is putting each area in a different bank and then just hitting scan if it stops on a weak signal.
