Some prick has burnt down the Cleveland Ambulance Station. Not only that but stole an ambulance as well, took it for a joy ride then the offender burnt that down as well.
3 ambulances destroyed and thousands of dollars of equipment as well. Not to mention all the paramedics belongings and the entire station.
Here's a press conference with Detective Superintendent Tony Cross regarding the two fires - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMJeb6FzeWs

Arsonists attack ambulance station in Brisbane
AMBULANCE services in Brisbane won't suffer despite two early morning arson attacks that damaged vehicles and a station, the Queensland Emergency Services Minister says.
A number of ambulances were significantly damaged in an early morning arson attacks on Brisbane's bayside.
Emergency services were called to the Cleveland ambulance station at about 12.20am (AEST) today, and 25 firefighters fought the blaze.
Overnight an ambulance stolen from the same station was also set on fire in nearby Ormiston, police say.
A fire brigade spokesman said the ambulance station was significantly damaged.
Authorities are unsure how many ambulances were damaged with early reports of up to four.
Police are appealing for witnesses and believe the two fires are linked.
Emergency Services Minister Neil Roberts said plans were already in place to ensure no disruption to ambulance service delivery.
"Staff have been reallocated to nearby station," he told ABC Radio.
"Crews will be out on the road as per normal."
Mr Roberts said replacement vehicles were available.
The Cleveland ambulance station will be relocated to a temporary site in a warehouse or shed and a new station will be built, Mr Roberts said.
Opposition emergency services spokesman Ted Malone described the attacks as horrifying "mindless destruction."
"It's unbelievable that anyone would contemplate, let alone carry out such acts," Mr Malone said in a statement.
"Our paramedics provide a critical service and the last thing they need to contend with is this sort of mindless destruction."

That was only a recently upgraded / new station too wasn't it ? I can't think why someone would go to the effort of doing that ?

Nine News says:
“police are questioning a 23yo woman who's motorcycle was found at the scene of the ambulance fire, the woman recently failed the paramedic tests...”
Also
“the night crew was not in the station at the time...” they were out on a call.

Re: QAS Cleveland Fire
We live within 150 yards of the QAS station and it was the HUGE explsions that woke us up, the fire was absolutlry intense this is an act that can only be described as the lowest of low..........
without detracting from what happened the upside is it goes to prove that the QAS screening and selection process actually worked because who would want this NUTTER in the service or working on them anyway
