Would make it a lot easier, and useful, if the SysIDs of each system were listed in numerical sequence.

Yes. Still trying to nut that one out. Not often in a position to monitor it.
It actually requires a Custom Band Plan, as two of the frequencies don't follow logical channel numbering.

Not quite true, although I suppose it depends on what one calls a Custom Band Plan.

A Base Frequency of 463.0000 MHz - Step: 25 kHz - Offset: 500 - works quite well.

As has been mentioned before on these Forums, TrunkView is ONLY for MPT1327. QANTAS is Motorola Smartnet.

What a great thread! If someone has the info, would they please indicate the CCs for the Mot Type 2 systems. I have found some CC info spread through other disparate threads (Mt Coot-tha and QANTAS UHF stuff) however this appears like the best place to collate that info. Thanks. Alex

As Phil pointed out, the Channel Numbers and Home Channels are unknown at this time.

And as the Site is LOW powered (5 Watts or less) it is not likely to be heard much more than a couple of hundred metres from the Stadium (well, maybe up to 1000 metres).

Legacy Motorola Type 2 systems can have up to four frequencies, which are used in rotation for the Control Channel. Usually one frequency is used for a 24 period, then the CC changes to the next frequency, and so on.

More modern equipment may have only two frequencies, a CC, and a Backup or Alternate CC (BCC or AC), with the BCC only been used during periods of Maintenance, or failure of the CC.

Most of the Motorola Type 2 systems listed in this thread have used at least two, and sometimes, three CCs, so I don't know where they fall in the overall scheme of things, and I don't get to monitor them often enough to work it out.

Hi guys,
I just found the Trunking Tutorial today (thanks Shane & Phillip!)
I have a T9 and no idea where to start, until now.
The frequencies shown in the tutorial are for Mt Coot-tha. I entered them into the T9 but (as I expected) I hear nothing
up here on the Sunshine Coast.
I have heard random trunking freq's when I have the 73xlt (in the car) set to close call. Usually a one-sided conversation with a unique-sounding digital screech at the end of the transmission.

Does anyone know any Sunshine Coast frequencies?

Basically all the frequencies are at the top of this list. There is NO Motorola Smartnet in the Sunshine Coast area. But I have certainly monitored Mt Coot-tha, Bulwer Island and Pinkenba from the Montville area.

The last time I looked, places like Wilkes Knob and Mt Boulder, were in the Sunshine Coast area.
