Correct ch 35 is not a call channel but has been used as the call channel for lsb that long it is considered as the call channel by many. When 35 turns into a mess I quite often go down to 16 and find some sensible contacts.

Does anybody still use 27 mhz cb? I pulled my old cb out the other day and it still powers up. Still have an old Stationmaster? vertical but would it be worth the effort to hook it all up again?

Yes - in fact I think it is regaining interest due to the fact that there are so many idiots on UHF now

It can be more exciting than UHF due to the skip and being more affected by the sun

depending on your location and conditions I would hook it up and have it run for a while.

There are a few lads on here that dabble in 27mhz.

When the skip comes in there are plently of idiots on 27 Mhz as well, fortunatly you have the choose of more channels not just the repeaters as such.
