Logical Channel Number

when programming a Capacity Plus system you have to program in the Logical Channel Number so with trunked system

1-2 - Repeater 1 - Slot 1 and 2
3-4 - Repeater 2 - Slot 1 and 2
5-6 - Repeater 3 - Slot 1 and 2
and so forth

Thanks for the explanation.

I assume with entries like:
486.925000 - DMR - CC3 - UQ - St Lucia
487.375000 - DMR - CC3 - UQ - St Lucia
487.925000 - DMR - CC3 - UQ - Herston

Both TS and whether it is data/voice group/individual call is unknown?

no as i have never been able to decode any information off these sites successfully as i am to far away, i believe that it is being used by security, and does have LRRP data on there, next time i am closer to the city i will have a listen

Phil, I live in the CBD itself. When I have some time (middle of next month maybe?) I'll have a look at some of the sites missing data and PM you if I get anything. That said, the CBD itself is blocked by some many high-rise buildings RF propagation gets pretty bad.

If there is any transmitter sites off the tall buildings (which is likely) then you are likely to get hammered by cross-modulation. i find Sydney is a RF swamp once you get north of Central Station towards the high-rise... you can hear signals 20-30mhz away

This location looks like a NXDN site in the Brisbane CBD ... they are using the correct emission designator (unlike most enteries). Needs confirmation

Royal On the Park (DJ Hotels Australia)
505.009375 MHz
506.528125 MHz

I have been trawling the ACMA Database for Queensland relevant sites. As a rule NXDN should use 4K00F1E as the emission designator, but as we know the ACMA database is a dogs breakfast for the correct designator. DMR/TRBO uses the 7K60FXE designator. The new licences appear to be using the correct designation but my experience in Sydney tells me that there are a lot more using the old designators for the original licence when they have converted from Analog to Digital

Here are some more Commex NXDN sites that need confirmation that they are up and running. They are in addition to the Commex Comms already shown in the list.

Negative i have seen a few companies using LRRP without the ARS which means telemetry, i did catch one company playing with LRRP on a Cap Plus system but i have to go for a drive to listen to that site

Hi guys, I've been scanning emergency services for a while now but am a complete novice when it comes to various digital systems. I was hoping for some advice on what you have found to be a good way to monitor nxdn. Are you programming an nxdn capable radio or going with a more software driven approach?

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Discriminator Tap and WinDSD or DSDPlus, if you wanted to spend the money and just listen to them then yes i would go out and buy a dedicated radio for them
