When you go through the ACMA database most of them are a 10 MHZ split but some are 9.5 etc

9.5 MHz was the old frequency split. There are still some on a 9.5 MHz split, but it is ACMA policy to eventually have all in this band a 10 MHz split

If you are listening to the link between the police station and the repeaters, then yes, but if you are listening to the operational channels, between around 467MHz and 470 MHz, then no.

That would be a Voting System, and I know of only three others in Queensland.

On my 396XT using stock antenna only get 156. 152 (or old ch 126) is what they used to use here. It is now being broadcast in Miles as I was up there on Saturday and able to receive them on that

The ACMA database is not usually completely up to date and many old frequencies are still listed. Concentrate on the 10 MHz split frequencies. When you use the ACMA database, make sure you put a distance in the appropriate field. The default is 1 klm. Increase this to 25 klm minimum.

Talking Statewide, Regional and generally speaking, outside of the GWN area, It appears they are assigning from 469.000 up to 469.975, in 25 KHz Steps, 10Mhz Splits, which are HGS Channels 120, 122, 124 etc. all the way up to 198, which then gives them 40 Channels to use.

Although, what does mess this theory up a little, there are a couple of Frequencies allocated below 469 and in use, eg. 468.925 HGS Ch. 114, and is ACTIVE. Then there are only another 10 or so allocated in various sites across the state. So maybe an oversite in a few areas. So not many at all.

Yes, Then you have HGS CH 3 467.5375 in Various Locations across the State, so i assume this may be a Liasion Channel, for multi-agency use, like the old CH 34/68....

Now, what is also interesting is that QFES (Fire) are allocating new frequencies starting from 469.0125 up to 469.9625, in 25KHz steps, 10MHZ Splits, which are HGS Channels 121, 123, 125 etc all the way up to 197, all in between the QPS Channels, which gives them 39 Channels to use. (You could say 40, if you included 469.9875 MHZ, but i don't think they will allocate that). BUT, what happens then, is you need to take out every channel ending in 469.X375 & 469.X875, which is what the new SES Channels are using in the HGS Bandplan.(And yes, SES have a few below 469 MHz. So this takes away 19 Channels from the QFES Pattern, and leaves them with 20 Channels, So if you have a look at the new QFES assignments, they are typically ending in 469.X125 & 469.X625.

Yes was listening to QFRS the other day on one of the H channels (can't recall what it was, may look into it tonight) and their original channel was dead. So can pick up both QPS and QFRS on the HSN. QAS has stuck with 79.5 here for the time being

Would make sense. I'm getting QPS on (they refer to in internally as 'Hotel 156'). Getting QFRS on H177. Haven't tried to listen for SES yet? Not sure if they are utilizing the network out here or not (if there is one)

EDIT - Freq is showing on 469.5875 still yet to pick anything up. Will have to wait and see suppose.

I had a muck around over the past couple of days and came up with this.

Brilliant-really great work! I dont suppose you could do one for QFES? I know its probably a lot of work though.
