I rarely sleep for more than a few hours at a time, so I switch on the scanner (earphones on!). I often hear aircraft movements in the small hours. Some international flights and Foxtrot Delta call signs (RFDS) and Rescue 500. Occasionally a company frequency gets contacted by an international inbound with a sickpax report or other matter. Things liven up with incomings just before dawn.
My new home is great for reception on most bands. UBCT9 owners will know the 'POLICE FIRE AMBULANCE' search modes are great for finding new frequencies. The general search for aviation 'AIR' is also worth a run about every month as new frequencies can be found.
I get QFRS as far away as Southport, I was wondering if anyone knows where 673J is located?

Re: NIGHTIME ACTIVITY
Sorry guys but 673J doesn't exist.
Station 73 is Rosewood as stated but the only T.A.P.'s in South East Region is Southport (631J) and Ipswich (645J).
Rosewood only run one truck, it's a Medium Urban Rescue Pumper Tanker - Fleet 848 - Isuzu
Toowoomba (311J) can also be heard occasionally if coming down the mountain to assist our crews.
