Hey all, apologies if this is a basic question. I am very new to the world of digital scanners.
I recently purchased a Uniden UBCD4236-PT for the sole purpose of listening to train coms (Queensland Rail and Pacific National). I purchased the DMR upgrade and have had trouble programming DMR networks on the Australian version of sentinel (UBCDx36) as it seems that you can only create system types that came with the scanner. The united states version doesn't recognize my scanner at all and I have looked everywhere for an updated version of UBCDx36 with no luck. 404 page after 404 page. I contacted uniden, and they said that the newest version of BCDx36HP_Sentinel works on all uniden products, but i know that this just isnt true.
I have programmed networks in the scanner itself and I am picking up on a bit of the chatter, but this workflow makes it hard to keep things organized. I tried ProScan, but don't have the required cable to hook it up VIA GPS.
My question is, does anyone have a copy of sentinel that supports DMR programming on PT devices? Any suggestions on how to move forward perhaps?
TIA
Uniden UBCD4236-PT Sentinel

By US version do you mean the Sentinel software? If so it's not compatible with the UBCD range of scanners. The version on the Uniden Australia website is one you need to use.
As for programming DMR try looking on the Radio Reference website/forums as well.

First up, Sentinel is a cross the board software there is no one version that supports DMR, they all do. Once the Uniden Australia website is finished being revamped the Australian version of Sentinel will be available for download. Other wise I have uploaded the latest version to Google Drive. Download it from there.

And once again on the soapbox, forget about Radioreference it is a waste of time, the data is often wrong or old. Depending on your state, check for local FB pages or webpages. Far better and more accurate that RR.

I have read your post a number of times however you may need to check the DMR network as it might be a single frequency and or Trunked System, with that comes some research and a bit of trial and error.
If you do a frequency range search do you find any of the DMR frequencies pertaining to the Rail System. If you can isolate the location your in I might have some further information
