Simoco SRM9030

Hi All,

Judging by the prior posts in this forum I am not sure how active this radio is anymore.

However I am looking to my foundation license and was hoping to get a little more information on this radio. Is this a multiband radio or are they fixed band based on specific hardware variations?

From what I was able to find there is this

AC (136 - 174 MHz);
TU (400 - 480 MHz);
UW (440 - 520 MHz)

I can potentially pick up 2 of theses radios one is in the range of 400-500 as it was operating on UHF in the 460 range as well as CB however the other was operating on around 70-80 MHz VHF which isn't covered in what I could find and also not within the foundation license.

I believe I have found the software but the programming cable will be the next hurdle. A lot of the links in the forum have died so I am not sure what I should be looking for and more importantly what to avoid. Been burnt by that with my Uniden scanner getting a knock off USB to serial cable and had to buy twice.
Sold my Uniden 93XLT and now using Uniden 396XT
