Curious to find out if any transmissions have been heard on 166.4000 Megs yet. Been listening for a couple of days and heard nothing yet.

I wonder what TGID's it'll be carrying.
I suppose logically it should eventually be for TGIDs for CFA D08, D13, D14.
Maybe just technician tests at this stage?
I'll program it in today and start listening, we shall see I suppose.
Cheers.
EDIT:
Getting hits on:
TGID 3202. Reasonably unintelligible - maybe scrambled or Phase 2. Not sure.
TGID 3923. Reasonably unintelligible - maybe scrambled or Phase 2. Not sure.
TGID 3921. As above.
TGID 64012.
TGID 30579 - Clear voice, technician performing radio check

Re: VIC - MMR & RMR (RID's & TG's)
Logged the following new TGs today on the Melbourne RMR site:
3201, 3204, 3913, 3917, 3921 - Phase II encrypted.
Heard TG:30579 testing. Phase I non encrypted. TG:30579 is CFA RMR Ch 579.
I am told by one source that this site is currently for test purposes.
Another source told me that this site will be mainly for Life Saving Victoria at a later stage.
See what happens in time.

Re: VIC - MMR & RMR (RID's & TG's)
Thanks guys. Just after I posted this we started to get unintelligible signals around 1430hrs. Wasn’t able to check my scanner to see what TGIDs were showing. Will listen out a bit more and see what I can come up with. Currently working on an antenna system for home. Looking into SDR as well. That’s going to be fun. Ha ha. Have a good night everyone.

Are all MMR and RMR encrypted?
You can barely hear anything on these networks

Re: VIC - MMR & RMR (RID's & TG's)
No they are not.
As mentioned in another post, you can currently hear:
MMR - Fire Rescue, CFA, SES, Aviation Fire, Techs
RMR - Fire Rescue, CFA, SES, Surf Lifesaving, DWELP, Techs
Police statewide are 98% encrypted.
Ambulance metro are 98% encrypted.
Ambulance regional are still clear, but that will change soon.
There are other services on both, but all encrypted.

Re: VIC - MMR & RMR (RID's & TG's)
Bus companies within Victoria use a wide range of networks.
They're heavy users of the Orion Network, both the legacy DMR Connect Plus system and the newer DMR Tier III system which most users are in the process of migrating to.
Some Bus operators are also on the old Bus Communications Systems network that CSE Crosscom purchased a few years ago that is based on DMR.
JRD Communications is another supplier of communications systems for Bus Operators primarily based on NXDN technology and on frequencies that are separate from their NX1 Trunking System.
Several Bus companies also make use of their own DMR & Analogue systems and some operators depending on coverage and contracts may be found across several networks.
As an example one company I've heard on their own analogue frequency and I also recently heard some of their runs on a CSE Crosscom DMR allocation.

Re: VIC - MMR & RMR (RID's & TG's)
I noticed on my unitrunker a brand new RID from August 23rd - 3500001
New agency joining the VRN? Maybe AV finally getting with the national numbering program?
