Just noticed that there is a humungous relisting of all Queensland GWN licences on the ACMA this month .... close to 2000 transmit frequencies (or 4,000 if you include receive frequencies)

Only had a quick look through them, but didn't notice any major changes - same number of Stations, and same number of pages in the PDF versions.

The only difference I did notice was that the newest PDF files are a LOT smaller that those released last year. For example: Licence No. 10070201/5 of 6 Sep 2016 was 23,399K, but on 07 Jun 2017 only 1.151K.

I was under the impression that with the new database system, the number after the "/" in the Licence Number would change if there were any changes in the licence details, and yet the Licence Numbers are unchanged.

I'm heading up to the Gold Coast for the first time in my life over Christmas, and thought I might prepare my scanner for the trip, any links to setting up GWN? What does GWN stand for?

Thanks in advanced
Cheers,

Luke

GWN - Government Wireless Network.

just do a search in the VHF high as well UHF low and high bands will will find something there, local council, busses, transport companies. There is DMR repeaters up here as well for the commercial freqs as well.

Thanks mate, I believe my little 325 has DMR scanning capabilities but I have not yet played with it.
Cheers,

Luke
