You have already asked this question before.... When you were asking about an old boat anchor that you purchased.

Have you put out a few calls or noticed any activity in your local area?

I have put several calls in and listened for about 2 hours and nothing

Try sitting on Channel 38 LSB for a few days and then going to 16 LSB also for a few more days. 27MHz is pretty quite. I have heard some chatting on 18 LSB down here in Victoria too.
