Is NTPOL encrypted statewide?

Post by SteveNSWP »

Just curious if Police across NT statewide are encrpyed, or are there some areas/channels that are still analogue or digital clear and if so, what areas are still able to be scanned?

Thanks for your replies.

Except for some community regions. You can hear 468.150 in Alice for example covering from titree down to hermannsberg in the clear. Mind you, there is NOT a lot of traffic, jobs seem tomgonout via phone most of the time...

Are We Witnessing Its Decline?

Post by GregorySab »

Is the rise of digital communication technologies signaling the end of traditional radio hobbyist communities? With fewer people engaging in amateur radio and increased encryption in communications, what does the future hold for enthusiasts who cherish analog experiences? Could this be the moment to innovate and adapt, or are we simply witnessing the twilight of a beloved pastime?
