The last desktop digital scanner released by Uniden Australia was 10 odd years ago, being the UBCD996T. The US 'XT' model was never released here and neither was the original US 'HomePatrol' series. I wouldn't hold my breath on the 536HP being released in Australia.

You do have the inside knowledge railscan, so that is interesting to hear. Are we talking the 536 tho or the 996P2?

I do have some 'inside knowledge' but at this I cannot say too much at this stage. But a report was prepared for Uniden and it is being considered now. I made certain recommendations, whether they are accepted is of course a commercial decision for Uniden.

What about a 75XLT/125AT for australia if you don't want P25? I had to import my 75XLT from the us

Both those scanners were / are already here, they are:

US BC75XLT is / was the Australian UBC72 / 92XLT a bit of a cross between the two

and the

US BC125AT is the Australian UBC126AT.

hows this scanner going for you?? im considering it but still sick of the crap P25 decoding on uniden scanners.
