Hi,
Can anyone offer advice on how one would go about finding out what the input frequencies are for the 128 channels?
Thanks!

Nothing sinister...I was just hoping to see if I would be able to monitor it - out of interest.

Re: QLD Police Channels + Work Groups
The input frequency information on the ACMA (458-459Mhz) can be quite useful in preparing a list of active (output) channels in use, particularly if "Voting" is being utilised. I have been working on a list of QPS for the last year using information from both the ACMA and this thread, though it has become a little bit more urgent to finish off as i am spending a week's holiday on the Gold Coast in January (alternating between theme park visits and scanning).
"Voting" is widely used in NSW eg .. one input ... five different output frequencies at five geographically spread sites to cover a patrol area/region/channel.
I noticed while compiling my list that it used in Brisbane for some of the encrypted channels
Brisbane Central Digital
468.4000 Channel 46 Input 458.9250 Tx Brisbane CBD
468.4250 Channel 48 Input 458.9250 Tx Mt Coot-Tha
468.4375 Channel 49 Input 458.9250 Tx Fortitude Valley (it has 2 inputs 458.9250 and 458.9375)
Other Brisbane Central Digital channels are patched together, rather than utilising Voting and same inputs.
Each has its advantages.
Patching channels together is probably makes it easier to split channels into smaller areas to run special operations like New Years Eve

Ok, but the question relates to QLD.
Best way to stay out of trouble is to stick with the output.

Thanks Comport, list updated on p1 accordingly.
When the SE fully goes over to the GWN, regional areas will be the only way to listen to QPS, so updates for these areas are appreciated.

Hi Rooster
Some up-to-date for Mackay Area. I see Mackay (Local) is completely wrong, so the corrections are below!
Mackay Local: 5, 29, 31, 34, 40, 74, 108, 122. All simulcast as Mackay Local Channel.
Mackay Northern: 22, 25, 33, 34, 60, 102, 103, 104, 107, 112, 124. All Simulcast as Mackay Northern Channel.
Mackay Southern: 4, 15, 18, 28, 30, 38, 42, 76, 116, 126. All Simulcast as Mackay Southern Channel.
Mackay Western: 6, 10, 22, 24, 44, 46, 54, 72, 82, 85, 86, 90, 104, 112. All simulcast as Mackay Western Channel.
Channel 11 is a Stand-Alone Channel, often referred to as "Chatter Channel". Seldom used, but when Local is Busy, used as Inquiry Channel. Also some special Traffic Ops are used on Ch 11 as well.
Cheers

QPS Update for Rockhampton Local Channel
Add to Rockhampton: 9, 25, 36, 48, 54, 72, 92, 120. All Simulcast. Although, due to the Recent Cyclone, some maybe off-air until repair.
Cheers

Re: QLD Police Channels + Work Groups
Hey Folks
Just wanna "revive" this topic as such, and keep this updating of the the list active. I know its probably useless now for the SEQ areas but still, good to keep up to date for the rest of QLD. As i travel throughout Queensland, i often compile a list of the locations and channels and VKR Centres i hear, and work out which ones simulcast and compare it against ACMA and this list. I will have updates to add, but can confirm that the Areas of Mackay, Rockhampton, Gladstone & Toowoomba Country lists are still pretty much the same. It would be good if others in these areas have any updates to contribute.
Thanks
