the reason for this is the geographical distance means that they dont have to worry about interference

NIS means Not In Service, and Toowoomba has been in use for years.

I believe Vote Group 83 is Warwick Area.

i believe you are correct my bad as for the original part Region 3 does not consist of Nambour, Maroochy just goes to show how much i didn't see it

moved out to laidley recently and been doing a bit of searching and found firecom S.E on 489.050

You will find that 489.050 (which doesn't show on the ACMA Database) is 21.4 MHz (twice the IF) from 467.650 MHz (Ch 26), which happens to be the Firecom SE frequency on Mt Perseverance, which is about 34 km NW of Laidley.

This is a common problem with a lot of scanners.

Tried these but none seem to work. Should they be programmed in analogue or digital? Do you happen to have a screenshot of a programmed file I can use as a reference?
