Re: QFRS Fleet - 1172
they aret just used for helitack suport they are used to suport incidents in areas where there isnt any water and they are mentioned as having spare driptorches goggles etc for imediate replacement on firescenes.
the pump will be as loud as the new medium appliances which is quieter than the diesel replacements that they are puting on the old mediums and lights.
we're suposed to be getting to look at one on the 5th of october it will be interesting to see.
thereport i heard was that they are pretty good except for the fact that they are too low

Hate to dissapoint you all but its pump is not the Ruggerini / Gaam 125 as on the new medium attacks. its the same as the replacement diesels - robbin diesel engine and dolphin pump.Rohan wrote:they aret just used for helitack suport they are used to suport incidents in areas where there isnt any water and they are mentioned as having spare driptorches goggles etc for imediate replacement on firescenes.

not the best option! - they are loud. i hope the shielding around the motor works.
