Firespotter aircraft SEQLD
I heard one in action yesterday afternoon on 133.3500mHz vhf.
Callsign was 'Firespotter 452' working out our way and Oakey.

It all depends where you are I guess. I'm not far away from OAKEY. We often get helicopters flying around here as there is an Army helo base there.
$5 gets you into the 'Warbird' show. You can even get a flight in a Mustang......WOW!

Re: Firespotter aircraft SEQLD
Does anyone out there have the 3 airband frequencies used by the QFRS Air Support section? 2 freqs were licenced to the QFRS and the third was a national F-CTAF freq. My scanner died a little while back and I lost all my freqs.
Also, does anyone know if 501T have been set up properly with an airband radio yet? When I did my Air Support course (about 4 years ago) they had a handheld VHF airband radio for use on the F-CTAF freqs. They were talking about installing a 25w mobile radio at a later date.

132.550 MHz AM is used for Fire Air Support in South Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales, so is probably the CTAF frequency.geoffro316 wrote:Does anyone out there have the 3 airband frequencies used by the QFRS Air Support section? 2 freqs were licenced to the QFRS and the third was a national F-CTAF freq.
