Just some technical jargon explained.

ATIS = Aerodome Terminal Infomation Service.
AWIS = Automated Weather Infomation Service.
AFRU = Automatic Freq Response Unit (ie either beeps or says the aerodrome name depending on when the last transmission was).
PAL = Pilot activated lighting. With an AFRU combined, it will also say "lights on".
