Hi scannerman,

TGID 20014 is AV Clinic Car Division '114 CAR DIV' and TGID 10078 is MFB 'TRAINING 10'. I don't monitor the training channels so I can't advise as which training complex it may be assigned to. More than likely VEMTC Craigeburn. Transmissions on MFB channels are in the clear and usually so are AV. Encryption on 20014 may be due to operator error...

Not sure who the new users are. I'm sure someone does...

The Sheriffs cars I've seen over the last few days still have their VHF antennas.

They could be, I say suspect because the TG's appeared around the time IBAC were apparently meant to have jumped onboard MMR.

Of course I could be wrong.

Another reason is the use of these TG's seems a bit uneven. Some days and evenings there are several radios registered to the network and the TG's fairly active, then other days, or nights, nothing.

If the Sherrif's were using them I'd be expecting a more even and consistent use as well as a greater number of RIDs across the network.

I could of course be wrong on my hunch, that is part of the 'fun' of our hobby as we endeavour to find out and confirm such things, or some may see it frustration. It can be that too. [WINKING FACE]

I can confirm that TG's 2001 and 2002 are definitely not the Sherrif's Office. Their planned migration to MMR and RMR is on hold for now as they 'explore future communication options and their needs' via way of an internal review first.

Is there anything similar that you know of that can be used with SDR?
