INFORMATION RE UBCD436PT - IMPORTANT!!!

If anyone on this forum has a UBCD436PT and they install the Sentinel software from the enclosed microSD card,
DO NOT PROCEED WITH THE FIRMWARE UPGRADE AS REQUESTED BY THE SOFTWARE.

The upgrade will corrupt the data on the microSD and render the scanner useless until a new micro SD card is installed.

Ill be getting one of these in the next few weeks thx for the heads up. im interested to know if it has the same guts as my uniden 436hp? im also interested to know if they have programmed every RMR site into the Radio

One of my mates found out the hard way. He was talking to My rep from pactel, who came all the way from Melbourne to help, he ended up reflasing the firm ware and got it going again. Basically rendered the scanner "deaf" but all fixed. I'll chat to him tomorrow and get a full how to fix

Don't use any software online as the software is tailored for the US market.
There is no software available online for the Aussie market aapparently Uniden is working on that .
