I have a BCD996P2 monitoring the Kinglake RMR site looking for any 'new' activity.
We have been told that the RMR network is P25 Phase II capable.
I noted communications today on TGID: 63004 (Tech Services). RIDs: 3000021 and 3000022
The comms was encrypted and the display on the screen alternated between PT0 & PT1 during the transmissions. PT0 indicates the channel is receiving P25 Phase II time slot 0 and PT1 indicates the channel is receiving P25 Phase II time slot 1. The BCD996P2 does not ignore P25 Phase II encryption as it does with Phase I.
I wonder if any of the services expected to move over to the RMR network will use P25 Phase II or if Tech Services are using it because it's there and they can?

Interesting to watch the activity on the Kinglake control channel via DSD+. The registering of radios and their affiliation to talkgroups, denials etc, also the patching of 'Supergroups' and 'Subgroups' that have MMR TGIDs.
e.g. 'Patch Supergroup TG-115' 'Patch Subgroup TG-105'

The old 'N District' should be operating on the RMR with comms being patched with the analogue network for the moment.
I believe it is Phase II and it's not encrypted at this time until the 'ok' is given.
For interest sake is there anyone around the Mildura area or in the N/E that may be monitoring and able to post some TGIDs ?
