Radio Handsets.

Post by brianWE »

Couple of weeks ago, a North car was having radio problems around Ballina.
Another North car told him to use the blue handset.
Seemed to fix the problem.
What's that? Two radios or one with two handsets?
Crossbanders?

Cool!

But the context suggests there is more than one handset.
Is that two radios on different bands...or one radio that operates on two bands...??
But, I am guessing, the latter wouldn't require two handsets.

It is a call-sign prefix.
The ones I hear are Highway cars.
I think they are attached to the region rather than a station or LAC
