Hi everyone,

Am new to the site here and pretty much a newbie to the hobby. I just got a Radio Shack Pro-96 and am looking for a file with NSW's GRN on it.

Thanks :)

Hi folks. Having recently moved from SEQLD to the ACT, I'm enjoying a different RF landscape then what I'm used to. In particular, the NSW/ACT GRN. I can get six local GRN sites from my home, and plenty of other local services too. One thing that's a bit bizarre is I can't get the Tuggeranong GRN site even though I live only a short distance from it, nor (it seems) can I get it from anywhere else I travel in Canberra. The frequencies available from the ACMA and RR websites appear to be 'silent'. Qu: is anyone aware of the Tuggeranong GRN site being temporarily disabled, or having had the CC frequencies changed? Alex

Doogs have you put all the Tuggeranong frequecies (not just the CC's) listed on RR in a conventional system or group outside your GRN group and scanned that for a while?

Hi Newy. In short, I tried everything without success. I came to the conclusion that the site had been temporarily/permanently disabled. I've since received a reply from a forum member stating the same. Now the question is, why?

Where can I find the most up to date info for the NSW GRN?

Sometimes while scanning I pick up transmissions and the descriptions on my radio do not match lol.
Like one which is supposed to be corrections is clearly the ambo's.

And another Ambo sounds to be more like some kind of security.

I got my info from radioreference using the premium membership service thingy

Scanning Ambos APCO25, can hear the cars but not the co ord centres. Yet, at the same time, can hear both sides, on conventional radio freq. Reason not hearing both sides. I have the correct TGIDs.

Also depends on which branch you are trying to listen to. ILL and MNC so far are only ones to be using DMR, the rest are analog in NSW anyway.

Check out http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=6943

I tried just the control channels and wasn't getting all the transmissions until I added more frequencies with my UBCD436-PT. Let me know how it works with just the CCs also check the band plan for each site they should update when connect to that site.

The NSW GRN scanning website also has a control channel list which is in a table.

http://www.nswgrn.com/control-channels.html

Saying it was last updated in 2016, so not sure if there is anything more current.

Jim at Ozscan (ozscanners on ebay) makes available an SD card - you probably won't find a more up to date and comprehensive source.
