Hi guys,
I am looking at investing in a Digital scanner to pick up the local police.. Just not sure how much luck I would have. When looking at the radio devices police are using they look to be a EADS sort of branding... Similar to the mining sites out here.
All I can find is
350358-69825 459.9 MHz 10K1F3E Queensland Police Service (58050) 111472
350622-35178 404.175 MHz 16K0F3E Queensland Police Service (58050) 113705
352278-35179 451.425 MHz 16K0F3EDepartmentofCommunitySafety(Queensland Ambulance Service)(521072) 136166
56209-69825 469.4 MHz 10K1F3E Queensland Police Service (58050) 111472
57064-35178 413.625 MHz 16K0F3E Queensland Police Service (58050) 113705
61781-35179 460.925 MHz 16K0F3EDepartmentofCommunitySafety(Queensland Ambulance Service)(521072) 136166
When looking on the ACMA site.
Is there a way to tell whether I would be able to detect these frequencies without blowing 300 dollars?
Thanks

Re: Chinchilla Police Scan
What would be the best unit for this? Looking to spend some money.. From memory they also can communicate with Dalby.. Unsure about scanners but wanting to look into it.. Listen to the Gold coast and Toowoomba ones all the time.
EDIT: Last time I was with them they had a unit in the car that displayed ROMA and a frequency on the screen... I just can't remember it off the top of my head.

Re: Chinchilla Police Scan
Update:
I purchased a Uniden ubc73xlt today and i seem to be picking up transmissions on 469.400. Is there anything else interesting I should be able to pick up?

Have a gaze thru the ACMA, search by postcode and you will be amazed what you find
