Its the whole system... they will most likely end up on Fleetcoms or Vertel's UHF network ?

Are you sure it the VHF network that is getting shut down?? The VHF network up the coast (monitoring Ocean View and Bald Knob) are still very busy with...I could understand the UHF getting shut down as it only has the bus customer.

This one is interesting, it could be the existing owner is wanting to divest them self of it and sell off the network. There is talk of a DMR tier3 network coming online in SEQ shortly and taking on the old briscom sites and offer customers an upgrade path to digital

Hey Scannerdude

I have heard the same... remembering the current owners of Biscom are one company that purchased the Qld Com part and the other party is Tait, and the first party owns the frequencies, antennas and combining equipment, Tait only owns the base equipment and MPT switch / nodes.
Apparently the wheels have fallen off the partnership and the new company will pull all of the Tait gear out and replace the system with a VHF Hytera Tier 3 DMR system and provide the existing users new terminals (mobiles) free of charge.

Might be some T2040's going cheap ?
