My frequency listings

Post by AIRMAN »

This is what I have managed to get from my R6 by searching and what I have managed to pick up from this forum. If any of you can spot a wrong interpretation of what I have please correct it.

I can't find any frequency registers like they used to sell in DSE and I absolutely hate that ACMA list. A complete idiot must have set it up IMO.

Hasn't 123.9 changed to 123.95?

This freq is used just west of Dalby and further to the west...

And 127.65 is just the Toowoomba CTAF, as Toowoomba doesn't have a tower

Yes, well!

You will find that all the VKR 41x/40x MHz frequencies are Links, as has been pointed out numerous times before.

The QAS 78/79 MHz are Repeaters, NOT VHF Links, and are used by QAS in Rural areas.

That's because they are no longer economically viable to produce, as everybody has access to the ACMA Database, and apart from that, most of them contained numerous errors, and were hopelessly out of date.

Rather than start yet another frequency listing thread thought I would post in here with my latest QPS analogue listing for the SEQ region. The first listing is all the analogue channels I can hear from my place. Some I have not identified as yet. Was done the old fashioned way of setting the scanner to logging mode and only logging those channels which came up with PL tone and voice audio. Channel numbers are the new 128 channel band plan.

2 IPS
11
17 Logan
28 IPS
33
35 IPS
36 RED
38 RED
39
40 IPS
42 SSC
50 SSC
51 RED
52
70 TWB/SSC
72 Logan
74 IPS
76 RED
78 Logan
82 IPS
88 IPS
94 TWB
95 Logan
102 SSC
106 Coomera
108 IPS/SSC
109 Logan
111 RED
112
113
117 GC
120 TWB
123 GC
128 Logan

Ipswich also uses 14 and 34 but I can not receive them here

For sure there will be other frequencies that others can get, especially south and north of Brissy. Be nice to fill in some of the gaps too.

From the above I have the following local vote groups, perhaps not complete and some errors almost certainly, seeking feedback though.
Redcliffe 36,38,51,59,76,111
Logan 17,72,78,95,128
Coomera (combines with Logan at times?) 76,104,106,116
SSCoast 42,48,50,70,72,86,87,102,108,112,128 (Basically from a towie up there)
Ipswich 2,14,28,34,35,40,74,82,86,88,108
Toowoomba 17,29,48,70,94,104,120

396XT with Freescan is ideal for this job by setting PL tone and analogue voice only, it skips the digital channels and will put in the log all the channels with genuine voice.

Heard Rosewood station doing a test call on CH26 "as requested" the other day. Perhaps it is a new channel in that area? Anyone in the area can check?

Ch 26 would appear to be a recent install at the Rosewood Police Station.

How do you setup vote groups using the 396XT. I would like my scanner to find the best signal near by and use it. However if it is anything from what I have read on here and on the QFRS radios they are just a scan group.

If thats the case it wont be any better then scanning without the group

There is no such thing as Vote Groups on a scanner. They are just multiple frequencies with the same transmission on them.

That's what I thought, was a little confused.

So that user used the 396XT to find the vote groups? Is that why there was a reference to this scanner?
