NEW ALINCO HH

Post by AIRMAN »

The new Alinco DJ-X11E is about to hit our shores. The only claimed supplier is Andrews Comms.

Anyone got any info on this???

Lee Andrews claims he is the only 'authorized' Alinco dealer. He is the only one touting this new model at around AU$499 when it arrives here.

Just looked at his site (link below) and he is claiming its now available...

I like the SSB feature.

Here's another link I've just located with a bit more info on it...

have them for $489 = postage. (they are a alinco dealer) have bought my DJX-10E and then DJX-2000E from them.
Good service.

I would buy from ATRC - personally.

Wow that is great to know...thanks Paul.

Lot more detail about this new model there as well. I wonder if the earphone socket on it is stereo?

Icom are still in the dark ages with this. I have an RX7 which has a mono socket therefore requiring an adapter which sticks out a mile. :(

Why don't you contact one of the Dealers, and ask them.

If you Google the EME-6 earphone, you will find images which show a Mono Plug.

Googling the EME-26 shows a Stereo Plug, but only a single earpiece.
Icom are still in the dark ages with this.
As has been pointed out before, the Icoms do in fact have a Stereo audio socket, however the Ring connection is used for the CI-V Computer Interface.

Also, I doubt if there are too many other scanners on the market, with provision for Stereo earphones.

I have done my research and I have so far found that the Alinco DJ X3 is the ONLY HH scanner with a stereo socket and receives FM Stereo.

I am sick of mono socket scanners. They need a mono/stereo plug which sticks out and becomes loose after a while and eventually you get snap crackle and pop.

The DJX3 has been out a few years, but it has moderately to good reviews.

I don't know if you have noticed, but this thread is 7 years old?
