Greetings all

Post by VK3RX » Fri Oct 27, 2017 7:31 pm

Hi all

Some of you will know me from the ...... other place

I've been a reader of this forum for quite a while, and thought it was about time I joined up and contributed.

I've had an amateur radio licence since the early 80's, got into scanning in the 70's when they were crystal controlled :) and CB when we all operated on 27.240MHz in the early 70's. I was on a committee that lobbied for the legalisation of CB in Oz, starting in the early 70's and finally achieved in 1977(?). Then not long after went to AR, but I had a CPI CP2000 unit for a bit of nostalgia up until fairly recently.

I fiddle with voice and digital modes including satellite comms., and always have a bank of 4 scanners going in the shack.

Good to join and be part of the group :)
