13 years old and scanning!

Hi all. Im a 14 year old in western Sydney. I first started with UHF CB radios with my dad. I would talk on channel 2 Kurrajong. From there I bought a Baofeng GT3TP and use it to scan railway etc. Hoping that joining this forum will help me progress further with scanning.

I first started listening to online scanner feeds when I was 8. I got my first scanner when I was 10. I'm 14 now.

Sorry but the VX-426 is not a scanner. It is simply a UHF CB radio

It's good to see some more younger people getting involved in the hobby. There are a lot of things to listen to out there, but sadly more are becoming encrypted. You'll just need to find something of interest to listen into
