Hey all!
I am very new to the whole RF/scanning thing. Upon learning about the low-cost RTL-SDR dongles, I decided to purchase one.
Currently messing around with SDRSharp and HDSDR programs and also researching antennas (oh my, RF theory/Physics is scary complicated). My main interest will be eavesdropping on scanner frequencies (hehe) and tracking/decoding satellites/planes/ships.
No doubt i'll be asking a lot of questions as I was pleasantly surprised to find an active forum on this in AU (I currently reside in Melbourne's Sth East).
Cheers!
Utopian.
