Hey Folks,

My Name is Mark and I am from Adelaide South Australia,
I am quite new to Scanning but have always kept UHF's in my 4x4's and Utes.
I am a Firefighter with the SA Country Fire Service

I presently have a Uniden UBCT8 which isn't working at the moment
A uniden UBCT9 which is permanently mounted in my 4x4 monitoring the SAGRN (very Helpful in fire season)
and an old Uniden FM 40 channel which is also mounted in my 4x4.


Hope that I can learn some new stuff from you guys,
and maybe get some new units.

Hello Mark and welcome to Aussie Scanners.

I ended up in the scanning hobby much like yourself, started with a couple of UHF CB radios and ended up getting my hands scanner and the rest is history.

Hopefully our members can help you get the UBC-T8 working again, any questions feel free to post them up and also join in the discussions around here. We are a friendly and helpful bunch!
