Hi there,
Just joined and I must admit, I don't own a scanner. I do own a POCSAG pager though which I'm configuring to stream messages over a serial port to a computer to be relayed over email and SMS (to reach members of my RFS brigade that don't carry a pager). During development I need something that fires regularly and frequently, so I'm looking for some sort of network heartbeat capcode audible within Sydney CBD.
I don't mind the frequency/baud rate, just looking for a metronome. It was suggested that I try:
capcode 120000 148.6375Mhz 512bps
But I don't hear anything. Because I can't scan for one, can someone please recommend a good heartbeat cap code I could use?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Have you tried 1234567? That's a pretty common one in NZ. May be the same in Sydney...

Fantastic, thanks to both of you,
0525886 is perfect, even gives me a sequence so I can confirm I don't miss any.
Just what I needed.
